White, blue and a touch of brass in Gothenburg

Morning! I hope you had a lovely weekend? I need match sticks to keep my eyes open, I'm so tired after returning from my trip to London! To kick off the week I thought I'd share this Gothenburg apartment with it's white floors, and touches of blues and greens, topped off by the brass pendant lights in the kitchen. Very pretty.

I especially love the room divider between the dining area and the sitting room. It's a clever solution for creating different areas without losing the flow of light. What about you?

A Swedish apartment in pretty white, blue and cognac

Hello Friday! Yay! Here's a colour scheme I haven't seen in a while; (sky?) blue, white and cognac. It's such a pretty combination it's enough to make me want to re-think the colours I've chosen for my own home! I also love the shabby chic double doors, a nice break away from the otherwise pristine white Swedish apartment.

So. It's nearly the weekend WOOHOO! Any plans? Apart from spending time with my family, I'm really hoping to get my hands on a Hay mirror and do a little bit of hall styling. They're quite tricky to get hold of in Sweden as there's such a long waiting list. Wish me luck!

A pop and a fizz in Paris

Tjohoo! It's Friday! The Parisien home of Anna Huber, the designer behind children's shop la cerise sur le gateau is the perfect weekend inspiration.  It's full of fizz; with brilliant blues, fuschia pinks and canary yellow and a sizzling touch of je nais ce quoi! I smiled the whole way through the tour so thank you Milk magazine (and SF Girl By Bay) for the inspiration!

PS I'm very excited as our new Erik Magnussen Porcelight pendant lights have just arrived from Malmö Modern. I've just been to the electrical shop to buy all the extras, not always easy - my understanding of all things electrical is limited enough in English let alone Swedish! If I bought the right stuff (errr) we'll hang them this weekend. Yay! Promise to share pics soon!

A rare saturday post from me - I hope you're all having a lovely weekend! One of my great friends is flying in to visit me here in Sweden this afternoon - sooooo exciting! I was just putting the tidying up off by drooling over a few interiors,  and I spotted this beautiful home of Swedish interiors photographer Jonas Ingerstedt ...... I especially love the monochrome and blue in the kitchen and of course the Wegner Wishbone Chairs what do you think?

Soaking up a converted Gotland brewery house

Hi and Happy Monday!  I loved the 'cosy' picture from Friday so much that I felt it would be rude not to show the entire house. So here you are, a beautifully renovated 1862 brewery house on Gotland, an island on Sweden's East coast featured in Sköna Hem. 

Is that a vintage Tolix stool I see hiding in the corner? Find reproduction vintaged Tolix at Rockett St George. Nice way to store your mago's.  I love the contrasting colours on the wood panelling.

The polish concrete floor looks fabulous and actually quite warm! For Tolix bar stools like these see previous.

Watch out - don't sit on the poor dinosaur! Check out Dinosaur Time for models like these to add a bit of GRRRR to your bathroom.
